In West Linton village, among other modern houses on a small estate. Quiet, with views of the hills.

Room one has a washbasin. Room two has a washbasin and lavatory (these two share a shower room) and Room three has complete en-suite bathroom with shower.

Between Carlops and West Linton, in a rural setting with views of the hills. The proprietor keeps horses.

Five kingsize/family rooms, all with en-suite bathrooms and all on the ground floor in a modern extension. One room and en-suite bathroom may be suitable for disabled guests (but please check that it has what you need before you book). Guests come and go via a private external door and can use the separate kitchen in the evening.

On the A766 two miles South-West of Penicuik. A farm with livery in a very rural setting.

Three double rooms with kingsize beds and one twin with two singles, all with en-suite bathrooms. The rooms are bright and spacious and have views of the surrounding countryside.

The Gordon Arms                Proprietor:   Keith Jamieson

A 17th century inn in the village of West Linton, in a high position, so some rooms have views to the hills. It is at the junction of the two roads through the village and may not suit those who want perfect quiet. The Gordon Arms serves food and local/real ale.

Four rooms, all with en-suite bathrooms. Three twin/double and one double/family.

On the main A701 through the hamlet of Mountain Cross, South of Romanno Bridge, but set back from the road and therefore quiet.

Three bedrooms; one double, one twin and one double/family. All have wash-hand basins. None is en-suite.

On the outskirts of the mill town of Penicuik with a country feel and good views of the Pentland Hills. This is a modern family home converted for its current us. There are two family rooms and two double rooms.

Situated off the A702 trunk road, 1.25 miles south of West Linton village.

Two cottages, one 4* and one 3*. The 4* sleeps up to six. The 3* is a former gamekeeper’s cottage overlooking Slipperfield loch. It sleeps up to 4.

A recently completed renovation, using environmentally sustainable materials and methods. Sleeps six: one double, one twin, two single beds (in a sleeping loft).

Weekly letting is the norm, but contact the owners to enquire about shorter lets off-season.
